Grabbing cups
filled with beer
we join the crowd
and raise a cheer

to boys of summer
standing tall
in final contests
during fall

they grip a bat
and swinging sweet
bring the fans
all to their feet

as bat meets ball
and bat prevails
over fence
the ball now sails

the valiant batter
does not wait
round the bases
back to plate

victorious now
we stand and scream
our hero won it
for our team
